Responsible sourcing isn't
a claim we retrofit.
As a company that outsources manufacturing, our sustainability record is largely the record of the partners we choose. We treat that as a reason to be more deliberate about the choosing, not less.
Four areas we hold ourselves to
Botanical & raw-material integrity
We prioritise raw-material suppliers who can demonstrate sustainable cultivation or wild-harvest practices, and who provide full traceability back to origin — particularly for botanical actives sourced from India's biodiversity-rich regions.
Designing out excess
Packaging briefs default to recyclable or reduced-plastic formats wherever the format allows, and we evaluate refill and right-sizing options before defaulting to single-use design.
Ethics as a qualification criterion
Our partner-qualification checklist (see Science & Quality) includes labour-practice and environmental-compliance review alongside GMP and testing requirements — not as a separate, optional audit.
Rooted in Bengal
Where botanical sourcing touches West Bengal and neighbouring growing regions, we intend to work directly with farmer cooperatives and aggregators rather than opaque intermediaries, as our supply chain matures.
How we intend to report progress
| Commitment | What "on track" looks like |
|---|---|
| Traceable sourcing | Certificate of origin or supplier traceability record on file for every raw material used in a launched formulation. |
| Packaging | Published packaging-material breakdown (recyclable / recycled content) per SKU at launch. |
| Partner ethics | Every active manufacturing partner has cleared labour and environmental review, re-verified annually. |
| Transparency | This page updated with real figures once the first formulations reach market — not left as aspirational language indefinitely. |
